Bike Builder

WHY BUILD CUSTOM?

Mass-made Off-the-Peg bikes are great but they have their limitations; theyʼre designed to be average, to serve more people and satisfy the varied needs of a large potential customer base.
With a ʻcatch-allʼ approach and a fixed budget can come concessions in functionality.
What might be marketed as a bike for “everyone” can instead be a bike that is perfect for some riders but just isnʼt quite right for you.

With a custom-build comes the freedom to choose anything you want based on your own needs as an individual rider.
This freedom can be confusing and intimidating...

How do you know which rims are stiffest? Which parts can be easily serviced at home? Which groupset is compatible with your frame? Do you really need to have a Chris King headset?

Our custom bike build options do away with all the nonsense, removing the need to study bike brand websites and become an expert before you make your purchase!

Weʼve put together options that use some of the best components out there.
None of the recommendations we make are “cheap” but some are better on your wallet compared to higher-end parts but all are GOOD; they work well, have lasted through the abuse weʼve submitted them to and weʼre happy to recommend them.

Once youʼve made your picks and paid your bill, weʼll be in touch to confirm all of your selections. You can expect to have your custom one-of-a-kind Seabass build fully assembled and ready to ride away inside two weeks. Weʼd much prefer to have you collect so we can size you up, fit the bike to your body and set up the contact points for you but shipping can be arranged if you canʼt make it to our shop.

If you find our bike builder to be too limiting and it doesn't cover the specifics youʼd prefer, simply drop us a line and weʼll build your one-of-a-kind for you just the way you want it.

SRAM APEX HYDRO
Double Tap Operation | All Rounder | 1x11

SHIMANO GRX
Gravel Style | 1x11 or 2x11

SHIMANO 105 HYDRO
Road Style | 2x11

The groupset is the mechanical ‘heart’ of the bike. Each element serves its role in order to control the gear shifting, braking and powering of the bike. All of our options are hydraulic or “hydro” disc groupsets. These represent the pinnacle in braking performance. Far superior and longer lasting than a traditional rim-brake and not compromised by all-weather riding. A 1x11 or “One By” system means one big ring up front giving a total of eleven gears. Less mechanically fussy and features a wide spread of gearing options, perfect for most city and gravel applications. A 2x11 simply means two big rings up front. Twice as many gears. Perfect for longer touring or bikes with lots of luggage.
